The Face and Story Behind the Photographer
OK, time for the rare moment where I put myself in the spotlight:
I have been a professional photographer for three years, but my love for Photography started way before that by stealing my mom‘s camera from around the age of 12 (Sorry Mom!) I’ve always been a huge sucker for love stories, whether that was in movies or video games, but I just knew I wanted to document it all. I received my bachelors degree in Special Education K-12, and even though I love the career choice, I always find myself coming back to being a photographer.
Once I got married, I finally took the leap to take my photography full-time, and lucky enough for me I have a husband and dog who love to adventure everywhere with me. From visiting National parks to relaxing on a beach, you can bet that I always have my camera by my side to capture it all. I fell in love with weddings and love stories in all shapes and sizes. I love the intimate feelings that I get to document and the unique storytelling that comes right along with it. That’s why I do what I do.
I want to show off you.
I want to tell your story the way it should: authentic and memorable. That’s why I will ask you for more than what type of pictures you want. I ask what feeling you want to portray. How do you want to feel when you look at your photos 10, 20, and heck even 50 years from now.
Okay, I just love to talk about my own little family. I have been married to my wonderful husband since September 2020, right in the heart of the COVID pandemic. Christopher is a good old fashioned California boy, who just so happens to be a sucker for a girl who is loves the mountains. He currently works as a healthcare recruiter, and supports me as I work full time! (He actually supported me in quitting my job ONE month into marriage to pursue photography full-time. Talk about trust!)
In May 2023, we added our sweet, Lucas, who is the reason I breathe! He comes location scouting, is my model, and is the reason I work so hard! He loves watching us play Zelda, loves staring out at the nearby lakes, and loves to keep me up at night. I worked most of my pregnancy, despite all of the sickness I felt. Having him be a part of my business has been the best, and hives us lots of excuses to take him out adventuring.
