In 2017, I was unbelievably self-conscious, and de In 2017, I was unbelievably self-conscious, and despite my passion for it, I really didn’t know what I wanted out of Photography. I loved it, but just wanted others to see my work and like me because of it. I took on every possible job at my high school that involved taking photos, and carried a camera around with me every time I was with someone (which basically meant begging people to hang out with me so I could take pictures of them). Little high school me was always comparing herself, never feeling like she fully was her own person, both in her regular life and Photography. But I’m happy to say that, as I have grown over the years since I started my business, I truly have begun to feel like I have found myself in my art. My confidence has soared, and photography isn’t just an outlet for people to think that I am a cool person anymore. It’s a way for me to gain new experiences, channel my creative side, and relieve the stress I feel. I’ve connected with so many other creative and clients, some of which have become the people I’m closest to. I know my worth, and I’m able to have an amazing life because of the freedom photography gives me. This was supposed to be just a silly little trend, but it really had me feeling a little extra sentimental today.
