There is a reason I am so in love with outdoor wedding ceremonies and elopements. Having your wedding and\or reception outdoors practically decorates itself, and gives me all of the intimate feelings that I love from weddings and elopements. There is just something special about being in nature on your wedding day. Especially when you are celebrating with just your closest family and friends.

This Texas bride and groom chose to celebrate their marriage in their family’s backyard, which is complete with simple yet modern wedding decor. Every detail compliments their personalities and the trees around them. I am a sucker for their hanging lights and the dance floor. (Plus, they made the dance floor themselves!) Every small detail was intentional, and unique to them.

If you are getting married in the DFW (Dallas Fort Worth Area), I highly recommend considering finding an outdoor space to spend your day. It really sets a beautiful romantic vibe effortlessly.

I may be biased in saying this but it makes for some of my most favorite wedding documentary photos. From their first dance to their final flash photography exit, I am in love with every part of their day.
