This intimate Texas wedding took place at their family’s home. It was set among a mountainous landscape with only their closest loved ones. Rather than transforming the space completely, the couple let the natural beauty of the setting speak for itself. The bride even got ready in her childhood bedroom!
They integrated details of their love story throughout the area. The organizers placed boards that showed their memories from every year they knew each other in the cocktail area.
I especially loved how meaningful the property felt. The property wasn’t just a venue; it already carried memories, making their wedding day feel even more special in its story.
For their photographs, I wanted to preserve that sense of place while keeping the focus on the couple and their connection. These two had been with each other throughout the years, through big life transitions and olympics gold medals! The bride’s family took in the bride in from a young age. You can just see all of the shared love in the family.
Sometimes the most beautiful wedding settings are the ones that already hold a piece of your story—a family home, private villa, or favorite place. Because I am a Texas cinematic wedding photographer, it is easy to fall in love with a place like this.
Let the landscape lead and set the tone. Enjoy your day with those that you love. Let the light change. Let the moments happen naturally. We create some of the most timeless wedding photographs in that moment.
